Altegio Loyalty Integration: Automated Bonuses, Discount Sync & Digital Wallet Cards
Published: May 12, 2026
Why Altegio's built-in loyalty isn't enough on its own
Altegio is a strong platform for online booking, CRM, and finance in beauty salons, barbershops, and clinics. Its built-in loyalty tools work — discount cards, bonus accounts, memberships. But for growth, that's rarely enough.
Customers don't get a convenient digital card in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, so they forget your program exists. There are no push notifications when a customer is nearby or when a card is full. No referral mechanics, no time-windowed coupons, no RFM customer segmentation.
Acquiring a new client is 5× more expensive than keeping an existing one. That's why salon and barbershop owners build a real retention system on top of Altegio — and that's exactly what the Rimbo integration delivers.
How the Rimbo × Altegio integration works
Rimbo connects to Altegio through the official API and webhooks. As soon as a visit in the Altegio schedule is marked completed, Altegio sends an event to Rimbo in real time. Bonuses land in the customer's wallet, a stamp is added to their card, and the updated balance is pushed to Apple Wallet and Google Wallet — with zero manager action.
When the manager saves a receipt in Rimbo, the integration does the reverse: it completes the appointment in Altegio, applies the discount, adds a summary comment (bonuses, stamps, payment method), and debits the native Altegio loyalty card if one is configured.
The sync is two-way, real-time, and idempotent — no duplicates, no manual reconciliation.
Every Rimbo loyalty mechanic that plugs into Altegio
The integration activates all Rimbo mechanics at once, no extra setup required:
• Bonuses (🪙) — percent-of-spend accrual on every completed visit, with flexible expiry.
• Cashback — the same engine reframed as 'money back', perfect for cafés and retail.
• Stamp cards — 'N visits = a reward', auto-incremented after every visit.
• Personal discounts — custom percentages per customer, pushed back to the Altegio client profile.
• Special discounts — time-windowed promotions that override personal and tier discounts (priority: special > personal > level).
• Loyalty tiers — levels unlocked by spend or visit thresholds.
• Promocodes — single-use or campaign codes for acquisition and reactivation.
• Coupons — granular rewards with happy-hours windows, per-item targeting, and bonus payouts.
• Referral program — invite-a-friend mechanics with automatic credit.
Everything lives in one customer wallet, one push channel, and one Apple/Google Wallet pass.
Real-time automated bonus accrual
The moment a visit in Altegio flips to 'completed', Rimbo receives an HMAC-signed webhook and accrues bonuses using your formula — say, 5% of the receipt total. The customer sees the new entry in their Apple Wallet card within seconds.
If the receipt is later edited in Altegio, Rimbo computes the delta and auto-adjusts the wallet. If the appointment is cancelled, bonuses and stamps are rolled back automatically. No end-of-shift reconciliation.
Every event is stored with a unique ID, so a re-sent webhook never double-credits. Your bonus ledger stays accurate to the penny against Altegio's.

Stamp cards, coupons, and promocodes live on Altegio
Stamp cards. Every completed Altegio visit auto-adds a stamp. Once the customer fills 10 of 10, they get a push notification about their reward and a fresh card starts on its own.
Coupons. Build a coupon like '−20% on coloring, Tuesdays 10:00–14:00'. The happy-hours window activates by itself, the coupon can target specific menu items, and it can pay out extra bonuses on top. Customers open the coupon details straight from the push notification.
Promocodes. Issue a code like 'BEAUTY100' in an Instagram campaign — the customer enters it during the QR scan, and Rimbo applies the discount or credits bonuses instantly. Ideal for launching new services or reactivating dormant clients.
All three mechanics sit on top of your Altegio schedule without changing the manager's daily workflow.
Three-tier discount stack: special → personal → level
Altegio lets you set one discount per client. Rimbo gives you three layers at once, and the system picks the right one automatically.
A tier discount kicks in when a customer crosses a spend or visit threshold (say, 'Silver' at 5 visits). On top of that you can pin a personal discount for VIPs. And above both — a special promotion with date windows: '−15% to everyone before September 1st'.
Rimbo computes the effective discount (special > personal > level) and pushes it back into the Altegio client profile. So when the manager opens a new appointment in Altegio, the right percentage is already shown next to the client's name — no spreadsheets, no reminders.
Pick the right visit when a customer has multiple appointments
Common scenario: a client comes in for a morning manicure and returns in the evening for brows. In Altegio that's two separate appointments. When the manager scans the customer's QR code in Rimbo, the modal shows every visit for today — both active and already completed — and the manager picks which one to attach the receipt to.
A 'Mark appointment as completed' checkbox flips the Altegio visit to 'attended' at the same time the receipt is saved. The manager can uncheck it to leave the slot open in the Altegio calendar.
The receipt summary (bonuses, stamps, payment method) is added as a comment to the Altegio appointment, so the customer's history stays complete on both sides.

Digital cards in Apple Wallet & Google Wallet with push updates
Instead of a plastic card, customers add a virtual Rimbo card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet with a single tap. The card carries the bonus balance 🪙, stamp progress, the current effective discount, and a scannable QR code.
After every completed Altegio visit, the card updates on its own — the phone shows the new accrual, and Android users even get a wallet-level push. Location-based reminders run separately: when the customer walks near your salon, the phone surfaces their saved card.
It's a single card for all your mechanics — bonuses, stamps, coupons, tiers. More on the format in our article at https://rimbo.com.ua/en/digital-loyalty-cards.

Loyalty program for barbershops: practical scenarios
The classic barbershop deal — '10 cuts, 11th free' — becomes a digital stamp card in Rimbo that grows automatically after every Altegio appointment. The barista or admin doesn't tap anything; the system handles it.
Layer bonuses on extra services (beard, styling) and cashback on retail items — wax, shampoo, fragrance. Use special discounts to fill the low-load hours ('−25% on weekdays 11:00–14:00').
A referral program brings clients back via friends: each barber can hand out a personal invite code straight from the Rimbo dashboard.
Beauty salon retention: what changes with Rimbo
A typical beauty salon on Altegio keeps a clean schedule and a clean client list. But without active retention tools, 30–40% of first-time clients never come back.
Rimbo layers in behavioural RFM segmentation: it can see who's been in three times this quarter and who's been dormant for 60 days. Each segment gets its own mechanic — VIPs receive a personal discount, dormant clients get a time-limited reactivation coupon, new clients get a welcome bonus.
Push notifications hit targets precisely, not as a mass SMS blast. The result is more repeat visits without the spam fatigue.
Digital cards vs paper stamp cards
A paper card lasts on average 3 weeks: lost in a pocket, left in another bag, soaked in the rain. Industry studies show digital stamp cards drive up to 25% more repeat visits — purely because the customer always has the card in their phone's wallet.
You also get what paper can't deliver at all: full analytics (how many stamps issued, how many redeemed, average cycle length), instant push notifications about progress, and an impossible-to-forge, impossible-to-transfer card.
For Altegio, this turns your appointment journal into an active marketing channel.
Bonuses, cashback, or discounts: what works in services
A flat discount is the simplest tool: the client sees the win immediately, but you bleed margin on every receipt — even when no incentive was needed.
Bonuses (🪙) work differently: the client earns them but can only spend them on a future visit. That creates a natural pull to return and protects cash flow. In the service segment, bonuses tend to outperform flat discounts on ROI.
Cashback is the same engine with retail-friendly framing — useful for cafés and shops. Coupons are precision tools for launching new services or filling low-load hours. The strongest combo: a modest tier discount + bonuses + targeted off-peak coupons.
5-step setup
1. Open Rimbo → Integrations → Altegio and click 'Connect'.
2. Enter the email or phone and password of your Altegio account. Rimbo exchanges them for an access token (the password is never stored).
3. Enter your Altegio salon ID (company_id) from the Altegio admin.
4. Optional: pick the Altegio loyalty card type Rimbo should mirror balances to. Skip if you don't run a native Altegio card.
5. Copy the webhook URL from Rimbo and paste it into Altegio → Settings → Webhooks. Click 'Test connection' — you're done.
The whole flow takes 5 minutes. After that, bonuses and stamps accrue automatically with every completed visit.

Security, GDPR, and ownership of customer data
Altegio credentials are stored only as an access token — your password never sits in Rimbo in plaintext. Webhooks are signed with an HMAC secret you can rotate at any time.
After connecting, the login fields lock against accidental edits. You can update the salon ID independently without re-entering the password. Disconnecting wipes the token and webhook secret completely.
Customer data is yours. Rimbo processes it as a data processor under your agreement with your customers, in line with GDPR and Ukrainian personal-data law. Customer bases never mix between companies, and you can export your data at any time.
